Warbler

First attempt at using gouache as a medium. This speed-painting was referenced from Josh Galicki’s Yellow-throated Warbler photo. I struggled a bit with the way dried gouache can blend with top layers. You can see this in the background, where I struggled to build up opacity. Hopefully, I’ll get better with the medium.

Medium: Reeve’s gouache on 90lb watercolor paper
Size: 15cm x 11.5cm
Time: 2-3 hours
Reference: Josh Galicki’s Instagram post

  1. Howdy! I understand this is kind of off-topic but I needed to ask.
Does managing a well-established blog such as yours take a
lot of work? I’m completely new to running a blog but
I do write in my journal on a daily basis. I’d like to start
a blog so I can share my own experience and feelings online.
Please let me know if you have any kind of suggestions or tips for new aspiring blog owners.
    Appreciate it!
