Warbler

First attempt at using gouache as a medium. This speed-painting was referenced from Josh Galicki’s Yellow-throated Warbler photo. I struggled a bit with the way dried gouache can blend with top layers. You can see this in the background, where I struggled to build up opacity. Hopefully, I’ll get better with the medium.

Medium: Reeve’s gouache on 90lb watercolor paper
Size: 15cm x 11.5cm
Time: 2-3 hours

  1. Nice post. I was checking constantly this blog and I am impressed! Very helpful information particularly the last part 🙂 I care for such info much. I was looking for this certain information for a very long time. Thank you and good luck.

  2. When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Cheers!

  3. Yesterday, while I was at work, my sister stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a 25 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now broken and she has 83 views. I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it with someone!
